Food Blog #29

Goodness, it has been awhile, yet again!

A good friend of mine was good enough to spend me a good dinner last Wednesday (since I spent him twice already) at Upperstar Damai.
Upperstar is one of the most popular restaurants in KK; and now that they have three branches already: Lintas, Damai and the one in front of Hyatt Hotel. You are pretty much spoilt for choice! The one in Lintas is always full of customers regardless of any days. The one in front of Hyatt Hotel exudes that at-the-bar-get-me-a-tequila-shot feeling & the one in Damai probably gets you laid-back a little; and that was the exact way how I wanted it to be after working out that day :)

OK, pictures!

Grilled salmon. I've to say it was really good. Note the sauce on top of the salmon? Amazing. Everything was above average.

Bruschetta. The bread was a bit overgrilled, and I saw no main ingredient: tomatoes! Completely different from what I had the last time. The toppings were lettuce and cured meat. I gave this one a 5.5/10. Tough luck...

Overall I had a wonderful dinner; I really liked the grilled salmon. Be careful with the bones though, there were plenty of bones and I used my hand to take them out from my mouth. You may have to think twice about ordering the bruschetta though, if you're a conservative bruschetta eater like me you would probably be a bit disappointed. No tomatoes; ask the waiter if the toppings include tomatoes :P

Thanks KJ! :) Mentioned you in my blog haha xoxo

Earlier in the afternoon, I had lasagna for lunch in Secret Recipe @ Centre Point. I was tempted to take a picture and publish it in my blog. It was pretty good, although the portion could have been slightly bigger :P

I guess I've to be contented with the portion, after all I need to lose weight. I really like the wholemeal bun, eat it with the lasagna, ain't that bad after all.

I agree with you Upper Star is very popular in KK. Always full and especially during weekend and festive occasion.

Like you say, the food is tasty and the price is reasonable for a restaurant that is fully airconditioned.

God bless & regards
