Food Blog #26: "I live to eat, not eat to live"

March 6th has to be the day to remember;

I ate and travelled like no other.

I had a lot of fun driving all the way to 1Borneo just to go to Dome for breakfast (did window shopping a bit but ended up buying an item) and from there to Centre Point for bowling & movie (not to mention window shopping, again) After movie, off to Tanjung Aru Azlan & I went for a relatively heavy dinner.

Breakfast:

Breaded Calamari. The portion may not look too generous enough but it does make you say "I'm full!" :)


Beef Bacon & Egg Baguette. I have to adore this. The baguette's a bit hard but anything else than that: awesome! Note the yolk and the homemade tomato sauce. This made my day!

Alrighty, that's breakfast. As for lunch,

A slice of tempting, sinful chocolate banana cake in Secret Recipe. Oh, destination: CP, Palm Square to be exact. I was still full that time, but I managed to devour it all. All I can say is I will always love chocolate banana cake, period. :)

Right, so after watching Solomon Kane, we went to Tanjung Aru for dinner:

Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) Pattaya Seafood. Unique ain't it? Fried rice wrapped in eggs. After I had this I knew this was not enough so I ended up ordering...

Chicken & beef satays served with ketupat (sticky rice) and get this...


Barbecued Chicken's ass! more like, asses. Exotic enough eh? They are still meat though :P You have to try this when you're in Sabah, not so sure if they do sell in other places though.

Food Blog #25: Little Italy :D :D

It has definitely been awhile. Hmmm.

Every time I'm home, I have always been dying to go to this restaurant. My friends think it's expensive to go there. Though it's going to burn quite a large hole in your pocket, the food is what matters most!

Azlan's Marinara Tomato :) Pomodoro yum-yum!

Since this was my second dinner (I had dinner earlier already), Alif and I decided to share and had Small Margherita instead. Thin Crust. This pizza was beyond our wildest dreams :P

Friends I brought:

My boy Azlan, this boy can eat soooo fast that you don't actually realize that he has finished his food already.

Alif, probably my long lost brother. People tell me we look alike, no? He's one very health conscious boy I tell you! :)

Perfect score! I loved both the food we ordered. I still love them now, and since I will be in KK for the next 3-4 months, I will try my best to come down at least once a month. Once I got my pay! :D

I truly dedicate this post to Azlan and Alif, can't wait for our other activities to come :D

Food Blog #24

As my family and I were on our way to Kota Belud last Saturday to visit my sick uncle, we stopped by AramaiTii Seafood Restaurant & Cafe in Tuaran for a very quick dinner. Mind you, it was around 9pm and everyone was hungry.

Dad ordered:

Mee soup + sliced fish. Liked the soup.

Mom ordered:

Singapore fried mee hoon. Average. The cook can do better.

The children had rice and ordered:

Sizzling Japanese tofu. It wasn't that bad after all.


Sliced fish + ginger

Therefore, if you are on your way to the north side of Sabah (strictly at night & you need food) and since most of the coffee shops are closed, then this restaurant may just be the right place for you to satisfy your hunger. They even have a mini karaoke lounge if you suddenly feel like singing :D

Location: On your way to Tuaran, just before the bridge and junction to the town, on your right. Just look out for the signboard :)

Food Blog #23

Not too late to wish you readers a very Happy New Year :)

Anyways, last November a good friend of mine took me out for dinner and I tell you;

It ain't cheap.

Well, above all I had a truly wonderful gastronomical experience :D

Considering the fact that the dinner was in Italiannies, The Gardens.

Pictures please:

We had bread with olive oil and some rosemary as a starter. Boy I know I would be up for an awesome dinner.

Hot chocolate with whipped cream. I think I'm going to die right about, now.

Period.

Tomato Bruschetta. Very easy on the stomach. Note the tomatoes in abundance, very.

The pizza we ordered. I think there were anchovies in it. Truly one of a kind. I liked the seasoning powder on top of it.

I digged this one. Salmon pasta. The moment it sank into my mouth I knew the pasta was good. Cooked to perfection. 10 out of 10 no doubt!

My belly exploded that night; and thankfully no one gave a damn about it ;) Twas indeed an experience. Dang! I still can't get over the pasta.
